Leather Impression Stamps
Leather Marking Stamps are made of quality Tool-Steel and are heat-treated to the appropriate degree of hardness to ensure maximal durability. In addition to handheld steel stamps that are intended to be struck with a mallet, we also produce steel and brass plates for use in a clicker or in a press.
Custom Leather Impression Hand Stamps
Our Handheld Leather Marking Stamp is a 5” long solid piece of Tool Steel. Its top end is rounded to prevent chipping when struck with a mallet or hammer. The grip section (of larger stamps) is turned to ensure a firm, comfortable grip. The head of the stamp is beveled up to the image. The image is raised 3/32” to prevent background marks. The front side of the stamp shaft is machined with a groove which indicates the correct application direction.
Custom Steel Plate Impression Stamps
Our Custom Steel Plates for Leather are designed exactly the same as our hand held stamps, however they are designed to work with an Arbor Press, for deeper impressions & larger designs that are too large for a hand stamp.
Maker Stamps
Standard Maker Stamps
Leather Maker Stamps are Metal Stamps usually used by saddlers to identify their own crafted saddles and tack. Infinity Stamps offers six standard sizes of Maker Stamps with a single-line oval shaped border, but Maker Stamps are also made per any specifications requested by the customer. ISI uses Tool Steel for producing all Maker Stamps and heat-treats them to the appropriate degree of hardness to ensure optimal durability.
All handheld Maker Stamps are made of one solid piece of steel that is 5” long. When necessary, the “handle” section of the stamp is tapered to allow for a firm grip. The top end of the Maker Stamp is beveled to prevent chipping when struck. A groove on the front side of the stamp indicates the correct application direction. The face of any Maker Stamp features an image that is raised 3/32” to prevent background marks on the leather. A Maker Stamp face can be made with or without a border. In addition to the traditional oval, borders can be any shape and style requested.
The most popular Maker Stamp image incorporates three lines of text enclosed in an oval border. The first line usually shows the saddler’s name, the center line usually reads: “MAKER” and the third line usually spells out a city and state.
ISI offers six Standard Maker Stamps. The standard Maker Stamp includes three lines of block letter text (unlimited number of characters) enclosed in a single-line oval border.

Magnesium Plates
Magnesium Plates are marking tools for impressions in leather.
Magnesium Plates are a practical option when the design is not too detailed and when the desired image size is larger than two inches. These plates are a cost-effective alternative to Steel Plates and intended for short-run leather projects. Magnesium Plates are intended for use in clickers or presses.A Magnesium Plate is ¼” thick. It is photo-etched to create the image. The image is raised 3/16" to prevent background marks.
